Savers are being dispossessed, borrowers are cheering: The whole world is talking about the historically low-interest rates in Europe. In Germany, the average loan interest rate was over 10 percent in the early 1980s – values that had not been reached since the Middle Ages. The rapid succession of financial crises (2000 and 2008) is now causing something that has never been seen before in credit history: average interest rates close to zero. Find out how the low-interest phase affects investments of all kinds and how our economy is influenced by Brexit and Trump, among other things.
